Cleburne County Community Foundation An Affiliate of the Arkansas Community Foundation
The Cleburne County Community Foundation (CCCF) will be accepting applications for grants until February 22, 2008. Grants will be awarded in amounts up to $1,000.00 for local charitable causes.
Foundation Chairman Dennis Powell explained, “Grants will be made to organizations with well planned approaches to public problems, issues and causes. We are particularly looking for projects through which small amounts of grant money will result in significant outcomes.”
Applicants must be tax exempt under the Internal Revenue Service Code. It is not the Foundation’s policy to fund religious activities, political campaigns, normal operating budgets, debt elimination or taxpayer responsibilities.
Executive Director Brenda Hill commented on grants made during the past two years. “As an affiliate of the Arkansas Community Foundation, Cleburne County Community Foundation is excited about our first grant cycle. It is our goal to help improve the quality of life in our area. The Community Foundation has an unrestricted grantmaking fund that allows us to assess the community needs and make grants to non-profit organizations to support those needs. “
Executive Director Brenda Hill may be reached at (501) 362-1701 for questions. Also, grant application forms are available at the CCCF office at 510 West Main, Suite 1, or you can download the application here. You may also respond by e-mail to brendahl@ipa.net.

The first grant awarded by Cleburne County Community Foundation went to the Community School of Cleburne County. Angela Varholik, a certified teacher at Community School of Cleburne County realized that the school needed an Ero-Scan. This hearing testing device is unique because it needs no interaction with the patient.
